It’s hard to believe that January is coming to an end. We are already one month into our new schedule. As anticipated, our changes have not been without some problem, but the overwhelming result has been incredible. Please continue to pray that we see our service attendance and Sunday School attendance grow as has been experienced in the month of January. Pray for people to make decisions to trust in Christ for salvation.
Sunday, we will conclude our month-long series in Philippians with a message titled, “Pursue Joy!”
Talk about a punch in the gut! I asked you this week to pray with me “boldly for the ceasing of abortions in America.” And then today, we read of a bill that expands abortion in New York. We even read that Governor Cuomo directed state landmarks to be lit up in pink to celebrate the signing of the law.
I am speechless, so I will let God’s Word speak.
Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap, 8 because the one who sows to his flesh will reap destruction from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. 9 Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith. (Galatians 6:6-10 CSB)
