What’s Happening this Week at FBC?

Last Sunday was a fantastic start to our New Year and new schedule. We are aware of several things that likely concern you regarding class sizes in relation to the size of rooms. We are very much working through these things. We beg your patience with us and know that we are aware and working tirelessly to solve as many of these problems as is possible. In the meanwhile, continue to come, be excited about these changes, and give all glory to God.

If we can be of any help at all to help you to connect to a Sunday School class, please ask. We are looking forward to a great year.

For the month of January, I am preaching in Philippians. Sunday, we are going to consider much of chapter two. I want to challenge you to “Pursue Unity in the Church” as Paul described in Philippians 2.

Our changes on Sunday have also created the necessity for a small Wednesday schedule change. The Wednesday night prayer service and Bible Study time will start at 6:15 instead of 6:00. So, the new time will be from 6:15-7:00 p.m. This change accommodates two different choir rehearsal times. The Dinner start time remains 4:45.

Year End Giving! Let me share with you that we concluded 2018 ahead of budget by $4,479.74. We praise the Lord for His faithfulness and thank you for your obedience in giving. In addition, to date, we have given $92,268 to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. If you would still like to give to this offering, please do that this week.

El Renuevo—This is the name of our Hispanic Mission attached to us. Their pastor, Bro. Melvin Mendoza, has resigned. We thank Bro. Melvin for his leadership. We are pleased to announce that Bro. Carlos Schmidt is going to be the Interim Pastor.

See You Sunday!
