What’s Happening this Week at FBC?

Happy New Year Everyone! We are gearing up for a great first Sunday of the year. Because of New Year’s week, we do not have any Wednesday activities this week. We will begin Wednesday ministry again next week, January 9.

I love new things. I love the start of a new year. We all have a chance to start fresh. At First Baptist Church, we have a particular chance to start fresh with a new schedule. I want to say again how thankful I am for the overwhelmingly positive response and support you have offered in implementing these changes.

If we can be of any help at all Sunday to help you to connect to a Sunday School class, please ask. We are looking forward to a great year.

One more time, here is our new schedule:

Beginning Sunday, we will offer an early service at 8:15 a.m. and later service at 10:45 a.m. We will have one Sunday School hour at 9:30 a.m.

We have a link on our website www.fbclaf.org where you can watch a brief sample of what each of those services might look like on a particular Sunday. Look for the tab “A Plan for the Future.”

This Sunday, we will have some breakfast items available beginning at 9:00 a.m.

For the month of January, I am preaching in Philippians. Sunday, we are going to consider much of chapter one. I want to challenge you to “Pursue Christ” above all things in 2019.

We are excited about 2019 and hope that you will join us as we seek “to Know Him and Make Him Known.”
