What’s Happening this Week at FBC?

I trust that you have had a great week. This has always been one of my favorite weeks of the year. I have some wonderful childhood memories of playing baseball around the Fourth of July. Linett and I moved into our first home together on the 4th as one week newly-weds 26 years ago. I love bar-b-q, watermelon, and homemade ice-cream so you get the picture. I also love America and recognize God’s blessing to live here.

Thank you for your faithfulness to attend worship this summer. We are having a great summer. We have had a number of decisions especially at our 11:11 service. Let’s pray that there will be those who respond Sunday to follow Christ and join the church. We are continuing our series on the Parables of Jesus. As you pray toward Sunday, keep in mind that for someone Sunday will be the most important day of his/her life.

We also have a group of Middle School students at Camp Fuego this week at ABC near Eunice.

Also today, John Frank and a team from our church are travelling to Romania for continuing mission involvement with Another Child Foundation. We have another team leaving this afternoon for Brazil. I know you will join me in praying for both of these groups.

Finally, men, I want you to be thinking about the next Daniel’s Men Breakfast scheduled for July 17th. Get your tickets Sunday at the Information Center. Our speaker will be Coach Mike McConathy, the Men’s Head Basketball Coach at Northwestern State University.
