I want to tell you about a couple of things that are coming up next week so that you can get your tickets this Sunday while you are at the church.
Men, I am going to be looking for you Tuesday morning for our Daniel’s Men Breakfast. The ministry of Daniel’s Men is to help men become men of purpose, prayer, and partners. We will have breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and I will speak on “Being a Godly Man in an Ungodly World” from Psalms 1. Get your ticket for breakfast at the Information Center.
Then next Friday, Crossfire Worship, our Youth Choir, has prepared a musical revue of favorite worship songs from the 70’s to today. “Decades: A Dinner Theater” will be presented Friday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m. The youth will be accompanied by the First Baptist Lafayette Orchestra and Activate Worship Band. Join us for a delicious meal and Silent Art Auction. All proceeds benefit the Youth Choir Tour to Nashville, Tennessee, in May. For tickets, visit the Information Center Sunday or see a Youth Choir member. Childcare is available with reservation.
Sunday I am preaching on the spiritual discipline of giving. Giving is part of our Christian discipleship. We learn to trust God through giving. We exercise through our giving the principle that all we have belongs to God anyway. We bless others through our giving. We learn to be unselfish through our giving. Giving is an act of worship. Pray now for God to open our hearts to Him through this message. I look forward to seeing you then.
