What’s Happening this Week at FBC?

Today is the day that things are beginning to get back to normal. I have met with a couple of staff members this morning. We are all going into our regular 10:00 a.m. prayer time in just a moment. My email inbox is full again after being a little less over the last week. All of this is good.

Tonight, we have our regular Mid-Week service in the Fellowship Hall. There is no meal and no choir rehearsal, but we will be together at 6:00 p.m. We will have coffee available to keep warm on this cold day.

Sunday, we are back to a regular schedule plus a few extra items related to getting ready for a new semester of Discipleship Training.

Over the last few weeks we have announced to you the retirement of Gary Ruffin. Make plans to honor Gary next Sunday night, January 14. We will have a reception in his honor at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. This will serve as our Evening Worship. In addition, if you would like to be part of a retirement love offering for Gary, we certainly encourage you to do that. We ask that you give that through the church offering making a check to FBC and memo for “Gary Ruffin Love Offering.” Paul said as is recorded in 1 Timothy 5:18, “The worker is worthy of his wages.” Let us honor our friend in a great and worthy way.
